Product Updates

A list of all recent changes and major feature improvements.

Introducing Credit-Based Billing

You can now create unlimited podcasts and episodes, and only consume credits when generating audio.

Jellypod's mission has always been to simplify the process of creating your first AI-powered podcast. However, we learned that many of you use your initial episodes to experiment and get a feel for AI podcast creation. This often led to quickly maxing out the free tier, leaving little room to fully explore your creativity.

In response to your feedback, we’re excited to announce a shift from an episode-based model to a credit-based system. With this update, you can draft as many podcasts and episodes as you like—no caps, no restrictions.

Credits are only used when generating audio, giving you the freedom to experiment and create without worrying about limits. This new model ensures you have the flexibility to bring your podcasting vision to life on your own terms

What's Changing?

  1. All users (including free) can create unlimited podcasts and episodes. This includes episode outlines and scripts.
  2. Credits are only used when generating audio. Each minute of audio generated consumes 60 credits.
  3. You can regenerate audio as many times as you want, but credit consumption remains the same.

What's next?

We are building out optimizations to reduce the number of credits used when generating audio, such as selective regeneration. We'll also be adding more features to help you manage your credits, such as credit usage history.

We're excited to see what you create with this new system, and we're looking forward to seeing what you create!

Publish Anywhere with RSS Feeds

Jellypod now supports RSS feed publishing, making it easier than ever to distribute your AI podcast.

Now that you've created an amazing AI podcast, how do you get it to your listeners?

RSS Feeds.

What is an RSS Feed?

RSS is the backbone of podcast distribution.

Think of it as a constantly updating catalog of your podcast that contains everything listeners need: episode titles, descriptions, cover art, and the actual audio files themselves. The feed is properly formatted to make it easy for podcast platforms like Spotify or Apple Podcasts to read and display your content.

Every show needs a valid RSS feed to be distributed on these platforms. Typically, creators need to use a podcast hosting provider to generate and maintain their RSS feeds. However, with Jellypod, this is all handled automatically.

Publish Everywhere, Instantly

Today, we're excited to announce that Jellypod now automatically generates an RSS feed for each published show, making it effortless to distribute your podcast.

This means you can easily use this feed to submit your show to popular platforms like:

  • Apple Podcasts
  • Spotify
  • Google Podcasts
  • Amazon Music
  • And any other platform that supports RSS feeds

Don't want to do this manually? We're working on a feature to streamline this process in the near future.

How It Works

When you publish an episode in Jellypod, it's automatically added to your show's RSS feed. Your feed includes all the essential metadata platforms need:

  • Show details and artwork
  • Episode descriptions
  • Audio files
  • Host information
  • Categories and tags

Getting Started

  1. Create and publish your podcast episode in Jellypod
  2. Find your RSS feed URL in your show settings
  3. Submit your feed URL to your preferred podcast platforms by following their platform-specific instructions
  4. That's it! Future episodes will automatically appear on all connected platforms

We will be streamlining the process of submitting your feed URL to platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts in the future. Stay tuned!

Voice Cloning

Introducing Jellypod's Voice Cloning, the easiest way to make an AI podcast in your voice.

The hardest part of making a podcast is recording and editing your voice. The voice of your podcast host can make or break your listener’s experience.

With Jellypod, we’ve already made it easy to choose from a library of professional AI voices. Now, we’re taking it a step further by enabling voice cloning.

Introducing Jellypod Voice Cloning

Our new Voice Clone UI puts the power of professional audio engineering into a sleek, intuitive interface. Whether you're adding or refining your own voice clone , the process is seamless.

How it Works

Simply upload a sample of your voice. It's just that simple.

Some things to consider:

  • Quanity: Shoot for 2-3 minutes of audio content
  • Quality: Find a quiet environment with a good mic for best results
  • Consistency: Be consistent in your 2-3 minute delivery. Think of this as teaching someone how to do an impression of yourself.

Why It Matters

Your podcast voice isn’t just a delivery mechanism; it’s your brand’s identity. With Jellypod’s Voice Clone UI, you can now create a voice that’s as unique as your content—without needing a studio or a sound engineer. The best part is you clone it once, and use it forever. No more recording sessions and editing.

So, dive in and give your podcast host the voice it deserves, all from the comfort of Jellypod.

Magic Voice Design

Introducing Magic Voice Design, the easiest way to create the perfect podcast voice.

The first step in making a great AI podcast is creating a host that sounds awesome.

Previously, you could either choose from a list of over 40+ professional voices, or you could clone your own voice. Now, we're making voice selection even easier.

Introducing Magic Voice Design

Magic Voice Design is a new feature that leverages your host's existing backstory to instantly generate a voice that matches your host's personality. There's no complicated prompting or extra steps required, allowing you to spend more time on what matters - creating your perfect podcast.

How it Works

Simply add more detail into your host's backstory (or not) and we'll use those characteristics to design a voice that incorporates other assumed aspects like age, accent, tone and pitch.

Is your host a Wall Street finance bro from New York? Or an ancient samurai warrior from feudal Japan? Or how about an evil wizard from the 1300s? No problem, we've got you covered.

Magic Voice Design helps you create that perfect host just a little bit faster.

So, what are you waiting for? Start designing custom host voices today, directly in Jellypod.
