New Update | Enhance your Podcasts with Deep Search
Hi, I'm Pierson (@piersonmarks), the co-founder of Jellypod, and I wanted to invite you to our weekly livestream today at 10AM PST!
Every week, at 10AM PST, we host a "Weekly Wednesday", a behind-the-scenes look at new product features, tips, and the opportunity to chat directly with our team!
Today, I'll be demoing some of our biggest updates ever – exploring how deep search, editable sources, and a new episode image generator make podcasting on Jellypod even better.
If you're unable to make it, here's a brief overview of what we'll talk about. And, feel free to connect with me on X/Twitter (@piersonmarks) or LinkedIn (https://linkedin.com/in/piersonmarks) if you want to continue the discussion!
We just launched some of our biggest updates ever – making it easier, faster, and more fun to produce engaging audio content on Jellypod.
When you're creating a podcast, the first step is to "brain-dump" all the sources that your podcast episode and hosts should talk about. These can be links to a website, PDFs, or any of our 70+ supported file types, such as PowerPoint slides or Word documents.
By uploading sources, we can ensure your generated content is grounded in what you've provided, eliminating hallucinations while still providing full creative control via our outline and script editing features.
This week, I'm super excited to announce five new ways that accelerate and improve this creation flow on Jellypod.
Adding or removing sources is no longer restricted to the start of a new podcast episode. You can now add, edit, and remove sources at any time – allowing you to tweak and regenerate existing episode drafts without starting from scratch.
Per episode source limits have been increased from 3 to 5 for free plans, and to 20 for all paying subscribers. We've also optimized our system and we now see a major speedup in large PDF source processing, going from 60+ seconds per file to under ~10 (on average).
We've aligned our UX to more closely resemble common workflows like ChatGPT and Perplexity, enabling a "user prompt" where you can provide additional instructions to steer your podcast generation (in addition to your sources).
Also, we've added Deep Search, a new way to enhance your podcast with in-depth, relevant source material fetched from across the internet. When turned on, a pre-outline “research” step is performed, adding extra source context (with citations) to your podcast episode.
And finally, we've added the highly-requested feature of generating AI images for individual podcast episodes! Just click on the episode image upload area, type in a prompt, and then we'll generate an image for the episode.
