How 3 Rivers Built a Weekly Renewable Energy Podcast

Kegan Rivers

Today I sat down with Keegan Rivers, Senior VP of Marketing at Three Rivers Energy Partners, a fast-growing renewable energy company turning industrial organic waste into renewable natural gas and natural fertilizer.

Keegan’s team is small but they're moving fast.

Three Rivers works with major distilleries, like Jim Beam and Jack Daniel’s, to convert leftover organic material into clean energy and nutrient-rich fertilizer.

As part of their business, they need to educate customers, partners, and the broader market about the opportunity of turning industrial waste into renewable energy and nutrients. Long-form posts weren’t getting read and video was too demanding to produce consistently. They needed a format that could meet people where they already are.

Kegan found Jellypod as the perfect solution. They transform their internal research it into a weekly public show called, Digest This: Unpacking Our Sustainable Future, which is concise, trustworthy, and distribution-friendly—exactly between heavy video and overlooked blogs.

What They Needed

Keegan explored multiple AI podcast tools. A few were close, but fell short on two essentials:

  • True script control without hacky workarounds
  • Customizable, on-brand AI hosts with voices they could dial in

With Jellypod, they found both. And more.

Kegan created two hosts, Alex and Emily, with rich backgrounds and unique conversation styles. He fine-tuned each voice for clarity and authority, then tailored delivery to match their brand: polished, informative, and approachable.

Keegan shared that the clarity of the voices and the creative control over host style were standout surprises. He’d looked at many platforms and hadn’t seen this level of control elsewhere.

Going From Sources to Episode

Here’s their weekly production flow:

  1. Collect source content like industry press releases, policy updates, and market news.
  2. Drop these into Jellypod to generate a structured outline
  3. Tweak the outline and convert it into a script and add Three Rivers’ insights
  4. Review and edit a few lines in the transcript until it sounds great.
  5. Publish with one click to Spotify. Jellypod handles RSS, the episode page, and distribution.

For a small team with a big mission, Kegan and team needed a way to consistently inform their clients without over extending their capacity. A traditional podcast was something they wanted to get to, but the production overhead was much greater than what was anticipated.

Accuracy, Editability, and Distribution

The turning point was Jellypod’s live script editor and partial audio regenerations. No more prompt gymnastics to make a sentence sound right. If a line needs to be precise, for example, on a technical point, a name, or a number, they just edit that line and regenerate the audio on the spot.

Distribution was a bonus. Instead of stitching together hosting, RSS, sites, and analytics, it's all handled in Jellypod.

“I was anticipating having to figure out distribution on my own. It was just right there, a click of a button.”

Three Rivers publishes their "Digest This" show every Tuesday across all the major podcast platforms. One of Keegan’s favorite episodes, “Small Grids, Big Impact”, dives into microgrids and localized energy infrastructure. It’s upstream from anaerobic digestion, but it helps their audience understand the larger “why” behind decentralized energy and how renewable natural gas supports resilient, local power systems.

Jellypod's Continuous Improvement

Early on, Keegan sent our team a detailed wishlist, including features like analytics and workflow upgrades. We've since shipped them.

He’s seen Jellypod evolve quickly in the exact places that matter for fast-moving teams: fine-grained editing, clearer host customization, and built-in analytics to understand what resonates.

"I’ve got nothing but positive things to say about Jellypod. This platform isn’t just a tool, it’s a force multiplier for our team. It enables us to consistently educate and engage our audience, from prospects and partners to sustainability-focused communities, without overextending our capacity. [Jellypod] empowers our small, agile team to reach broader audiences, amplify our voice, and build trust.”

What Success Looks Like

For Three Rivers, success meant getting completed episodes out weekly, saying exactly what they intended to say, and distributing everywhere their audience listens. Jellypod made that possible for a lean team without compromising on quality or accuracy.

While Three Rivers is turning waste into renewable energy and nutrients, Jellypod is helping them turn their expertise into a steady drumbeat of high-quality content. For Keegan and Three Rivers Energy Partners, it’s not just about making a podcast—it’s about moving the energy transition forward, one episode at a time.
