From SEO Pioneer to AI Podcaster: Llew Jury’s Jellypod Story

Today I had the chance to talk to Llew Jury, a tech pioneer, investor, and the mind behind the Weekly AI Intelligence podcast.

For 25 years, Llew has been at the forefront of the tech world. From building one of Australia's earliest SEO companies during the dot-com era to co-founding the venture capital firm Sprint.vc, Llew has always kept a close eye on emerging technology.

And as an entrepreneur, investor, and public speaker, his calendar is packed. But still, every Monday morning, a fresh, seven-minute Weekly AI Intelligence podcast episode lands on Spotify, reaching listeners around the globe.

Llew uses Jellypod to produce his show using a voice clone of himself and his imaginative co-host, Ollie Carter, complete with transcripts that boost search visibility and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).

Instead of booking a studio or managing complex recording setups, Jellypod makes podcast creation effortless while keeping him fully in control. In Llew’s words: “It’s just brilliant.”

Automating Podcast Research

Llew faced a familiar challenge: he wanted to share insights and stay ahead of AI and tech news, but creating content was too time-consuming. He envisioned a weekly AI intelligence podcast—concise, informative, and highly customized—that would distill the most important AI news into a bite-sized podcast.

"I've done a lot of speaking and have been meaning for the last couple of years to start a podcast," says Llew. "And I actually think the future is seven to ten minute snippets... where attention is a lot more limited. I think that AI has a great role to play in that."

So he built a workflow where every Monday morning at 5:30, a Manus research agent scrapes the web for the latest LLM news, investment trends, and industry developments. This research is then fed into Jellypod—where the podcast magic happens.

Creating Podcast Hosts

Llew "designed" an AI co-host named Ollie Carter – a 33 year old, tech-savvy engineer from Brisbane. Paired with his own voice clone, they discuss hot topics and end with a segment on "the weird, the wacky, and the wonderful" in AI.

"I've cloned my own voice with just a 60 second recording... And I invented another guy called Ollie Carter. They just work beautifully. It's like this young guy, this older boomer... sort of riffing and going through everything. And actually, it comes across really well."

A crucial part of his production process is using the transcript editor to remove extraneous Australian slang (like the frequent use of "mate"). But over time, Jellypod has learned about these consistent edits, automatically reducing the number of "mate"s in newer episodes.

Once the transcript looks good and the audio is generated, it's just a single click inside Jellypod to publish it to Spotify and his dedicated podcast subdomain, podcast.advancer.com.au.

Driving Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)

As an SEO expert, Llew recognized another powerful advantage of Jellypod: the ability to generate and publish your podcast's transcripts. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is all about putting high-quality, relevant content on the internet, where chatbots like ChatGPT or Grok would reference to users when necessary.

"When you add the episode transcripts on the podcast website, and you do that with your own custom domain, you're activating the benefits inside your own website... Every part of that is indexable GEO content," says Llew.

He's already seeing his clients choose his firm because it ranks highly in platforms like ChatGPT, rather than traditional search engines.

A Simple, Powerful Formula

For Llew, Jellypod's winning formula lies in its elegant simplicity. While it boasts powerful AI capabilities under the hood, the user experience is incredibly streamlined and within minutes he created something.

Llew Jury’s journey—from an early-internet tech founder to a respected business and technology leader—shows how experienced professionals can use cutting-edge AI tools to scale their expertise and impact.

In today’s world, content is not optional—it’s essential. Finding platforms that make the creation process efficient is critical to survive in the future of online search. His weekly AI podcast is a testament to how Jellypod empowers experts to amplify their voice and insights without the traditional burdens of content production.
